The Journey

A wonderful, Godly, woman friend of mine shared with me a message she had received in a deep conversation with her Lord. She was asking for guidance in a situation which was causing her much heartache. She pleaded with the Lord to guide her down the right path. God’s Holy Spirit came to her during this time of deep prayer. He opened her eyes to the reality that God was not just guiding her down a path.

The Spirit said, “Do you assume that I only guide you on your path?”

“Sometimes I guide you. Sometimes I pull you behind me. Sometimes I push you forward in front of me. Sometimes I am lifting you up. Sometimes I am covering you. Sometimes I am sheltering you. Sometimes I am on your left side or on your right side to hold you up. Sometimes I am simply by your side walking with you.”

“My guidance and protection are all encompassing, all the time, everywhere and anytime you need it.”

“I am at your right side, your left side, your front and your back. I am under your feet and above your head.”

The Lord is my shepherd she told me. He is more than a Guide taking me down the right path. He is my all-encompassing protector, all the time.
